Welcome
In addition to her career as a performer, Anastasia Koorn is an experienced and dedicated voice teacher. She currently maintains a private voice studio, working with singers at all levels: from beginners developing healthy vocal technique to advanced students preparing for auditions, competitions, and university study. Her strong foundation in piano, languages, and conducting allows her to provide a well-rounded, individualized, and musically diverse education for every student.
Anastasia’s background in music education is both practical and research-based. During her undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan, she completed a dual degree in Vocal Performance and Choral Music Education, gaining classroom experience as a student teacher at Whiteford Agricultural Schools (K–5 general music, 6–12 choral music). She also worked as a guest music teacher and vocal clinician at Eberwhite and Kent Lake Elementary Schools and Huron High School.

As a private voice teacher, Anastasia strives to nurture confident, expressive singers who develop both technical excellence and a deep love of music. She believes in tailoring lessons to each individual, helping students find their own unique voice while also understanding music’s broader role in communication and community.
Her academic research has deepened her commitment to advocacy in education: as a postgraduate student, she wrote a dissertation on “The Impact of Music on Childhood Literacy,” exploring how music supports ESL learners, children with learning differences, and students from disadvantaged socioeconomic backgrounds.
